We did this walk on a day when we wanted a hike but were not really in the mood for climbing a mountain.
We drove to the tiny village of Bugnei, just past Sedrun in the Selserva. In Bugnei at the bottom of the village there is a small (free) communal car park where we left the car. It was then just a short walk up the hill to the station where we started our walk.
The path is wide and very gentle, you could easily do it wearing light shoes. It's obviously designed to be family friendly as there is a trail with information boards about the planets (sadly they are only in either German or Romanch) and there were quite a few people cycling along the track. There's lots of benches along the way some with amazing views. The track roughly follows the train line so it's perfect for any train spotters. It was surprisingly quiet despite being very close to the main road.
