October was a very busy month and I didn’t get out with my camera much. I did have a lovely trip to West Wittering with Mark Cornick for a group workshop on ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). We had a beautifully sunny afternoon and so much fun wiggling our cameras around. I love West Wittering, there is so much to photograph. The dunes and grasses are a particular favourite subject and I was looking forward to trying some ICM in the dunes but it was a real challenge to get something satisfying. ICM is always a bit hit and miss, part of the fun is in the experimenting. I am pleased with this one, I love the grasses against the sky and big clouds. The movement of the camera whilst using a slow shutter (0.5 seconds) really captures the movement of grasses blowing in the wind. Check out Mark's website at www.markcornickphotography.co.uk |
