Woodland pool
Just a little water pic from our local woods. This summer I've been quite addicted to photographing water, it's so hypnotic, now I have heaps of pics and it's hard to pick favourites. I love the colours in this one, there's so many and I didn't notice the red/brown tones until I started to process it.

Summer meadows
Summer is fading and I'm missing glorious summer flower meadows already but also can't wait for autumn colour.
Mountain water
I've been having a good sort out through my summer pictures over the last few days. I like to allow my pictures to ferment slightly on my hard drives, sometimes that process takes longer than others and at the moment they're taking a while to fully ripen! I think I'm mixing my metaphors there! This summer water seems to have been a favourite subject, it's so calming to watch it constantly changing so here's the first of a little collection.
Garden rose
The rain this summer hasn't been great for my roses! I only have two bushes, I think this one is my favourite, I love the shape (and the fragrance!) but it catches and traps the raindrops and makes the petals rot. I keep giving the flowers a good shake but it's a challenge with so much rain! This one survived long enough for me to get in close with my macro lens. Swipe to see the full flower.
Summer reflections
I am suddenly aware that autumn is knocking on the door but it feels like summer hasn't really got started! ... and I feel like I've not really caught much of summer with my camera this year, last year we had so much more of summer to catch! This was taken in a typically British summer day, I was wearing full waterproofs and keeping a waterproof bag on standby, ready for my camera!
