Elegant flowers

I had a proper photo sort and process at the weekend and now I've a stack of pics to share. As I mentioned before, this year I bought some snakes head fritillaries at the garden centre and having some of these beautiful flowers to spend time with, I realised that in addition to the beautiful flowers, the leaves have such elegant curves.

It's been a super year for blossom, I've taken so many pictures, it's hard to pick a favourite or two. I hope you are able to get out and about to enjoy this wonderful time of year.

I'm loving the woods at the moment, everything is just starting to burst, in a couple of weeks there will be a green canopy but at the moment the sun is still shining through the bare branches.

I adore these Fritillaries. The first time I saw them was actually a drawing by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, it was a drawing, I didn't think they were real! When I learnt they were, I never thought I'd be lucky enough to see some and now I am lucky enough to live near a field of them. With all that's going on I didn't know if/still don't know if I will get to visit the field this year so I was super excited to find this one in my local garden centre and now I have hundreds of pics of this lovely flower! Yay!
