Città Alta at Christmas

Here’s a second group of Christmas pictures from Bergamo in Italy. These are from the Città Alta which is the upper part of the city and much older. It’s a beautiful place to explore with lots of tiny streets and a few very pretty squares. All the shops in the upper city had very elegant festively decorated windows which added to the magic. |

Christmas in Bergamo
I thought I'd continue the Festive theme with this image from a few weeks ago. I had a wonderful few days in the lovely Italian city of Bergamo where everything was already looking festive. I had never been there before and I took so many photos, I hope to share more with you in the New Year. There were so many lovely Christmas decorations around Bergamo and I had a lot of fun trying to capture all the twinkly lights.
Christmas in London
Another festive picture. I often say that I like to photograph 'things that don't move and can't complain' (!!) so street photography isn't in my comfort zone but with this scene in front of me, I couldn't not take a picture!
Frozen grass
Another winter grass picture. I love these grasses with their dainty seeds. The snow brings a wonderfully, clean background to show off their shape. I’m not sure how easy it will be to see the ice clinging to the stem and seeds so I’ve added a cropped, close-up picture to, hopefully show more detail.
