Spring flowers
Happy Easter weekend! I had planned to post some pictures from Venice today but I thought it would be more appropriate to share a spring flower in the sunshine. I hope you have some lovely weekend plans.
Frost on the beach

Spring may have officially started but I thought I'd sneak in a couple of winter images. These pictures were taken on the beach at Lido (Venice), I'd never seen frost on the beach before! I loved the way it covered the windblown ripples in the sand. | |

Snake's head fritillary
I love Snake's head fritillary flowers and every year I try to photograph them in a new way. This image of a potted plant was taken earlier this month enabling me to take an image with a white background and a high key look.
Sunrise at Lido
My first pictures from Venice, not the usual views but oh my goodness, this was one of my most favourite moments of my trip, sunrise at Lido beach. Standing on the empty beach watching the warm colours slowly creep into the sky was just magical.

Colourful crocus
Happy Spring Equinox! To celebrate the official start of spring I thought I'd share a picture of these tiny little crocus I bought from the supermarket. I kept them on my kitchen windowsill where they glowed when the sun shone through them.
