Part of going to the mountains for me is visiting to the massive lakes, there is always so much to see and photograph and it's so relaxing. Mostly I go for natural subjects but I also love architecture and of course I love colour so it's not a surprise that I really enjoy the patterns and colours (and peace!) in harbours. I've often taken pictures but I don't share many, so here goes with one taken on Lake Garda in April.

Over the last year I have really enjoyed photographing near water but somehow I've not posted many for a while. At the weekend I went to the Dorset coast and spent a good few hours wandering along the pebbly beach. I spotted a beautiful large pale flat stone on the water's edge which made for a lovely background for shadows from the small waves.

These Three Cornered Leeks grow like weeds everywhere in my garden, in the flowerbeds and the lawn and I do love them even though I have no control over them, so delicate and pretty and it's always fab to lie on the lawn in the grass and capture their lovely flowers.
