2025 Awarded images
In 2025 I entered a variety of competitions and challenges and was pleased to have images selected on several occasions. The two highlights were having an image shortlisted in the 2025 Close Up Photographer of the Year award and having an image selected for the SheClicks Exhibition at the NEC in March 2026.

These images were all shortlisted in the monthly SheClicks challenge. All the shortlisted images are eligible for consideration for the SheClicks exhibition at The Photography Show. I am delighted that my infrared images of the derelict church will be on show at the NEC from 14-17 March 2026. |

Snowy trees
In some parts of the northern hemisphere spring is almost here and in others there is still a lot of winter to come. I do love snowy trees so I thought I’d share a few pictures from winters past before we get to flower season.
Winter grasses
This image was taken a RHS Wisely on a cold and blowy day before Christmas. I love the tall grasses near the glass house especially when they blow in the wind. On this day there were twinkly lights in the hedges just to add a hint of winter sparkle.
A quiet moment
A quiet moment in the woods early one morning. I was just enjoying the little things and the beautiful light.

I've just had some good news, my little ladybird has been selected in the final 20 images of The Base, Greenham 'My Wild Life' competition. I took the picture on a sunny evening last July in a field near my house.
I can't wait to go to The Base to see my image as part of the gallery.
